Galliford Try scoops £300m Scottish community facilities deal

28 May 10 Galliford Try has been selected as preferred private sector partner for the construction of £300m of community facilities across South East Scotland over the next 10 years.

Galliford Try has been selected as preferred private sector partner for the construction of 拢300m of community facilities across South East Scotland over the next 10 years.

Client is the the South East Hub, which includes: Scottish Futures Trust, Local Authorities, NHS Health Boards and emergency services.

Galliford Try will be working as part of the SPACE consortium, which also includes Davis Langdon and Fulcrum Infrastructure Group.

The hub initiative has similarities with the LIFT and BSF programmes in England and in Scotland will deliver development of modern joint facilities for the public sector.

It is based on a single-point-of-delivery model in which the role of the private sector partner can encompass all stages from strategic planning through to project delivery, funding and facilities management via an integrated supply chain.

The first hub project, to get underway later this year, is the design and build of a new library and community joint facility in west Edinburgh with an initial capital investment of 拢5.7m.
