Appeal court slashes fines for six more

24 Mar 11 Six more contractors have had their Office of Fair Trading fine significantly reduced on appeal.

The Competition Appeal Tribunal held up some, but not all, elements of their complaints regarding the fines, imposed for their roles in the mass industry practice of cover pricing.

Galliford Try鈥檚 fine of 拢8,333,329 was reduced on appeal to 拢1,395,000.

Apollo saw its 拢2,150,536 fine cut to 拢399,000 by the appeal court.

For Seddon, the penalty was cut from 拢1,516,646 to 拢492,000.

Interclass had its fine cut from 拢464,406聽聽to 拢324,000.

The penalty imposed on Tomlinson was reduced from 拢1,269,270 to 拢468,000. 聽

厂辞濒鈥檚 fine was reduced on appeal from was 拢1,835,702 to 拢702,000.
