Forrest puts down roots on second four year framework

10 Feb 11 Forrest, the Preston-headquartered social housing regeneration specialist, has joined a second framework under the £1 billion North West 今日看料 Hub joint procurement body.

The business, which provides regeneration, refurbishment and responsive maintenance services, announced that it secured a place on the NWCH鈥檚 Low Value four-year framework after winning a place on its Medium Value framework last summer.

Both frameworks are accessible to all local authorities and public sector organisations in the North West for construct-only works worth between 拢150,000 and 拢4.5 million.

The announcement follows a full year trading update from Forrest last month in which it announced an 11.5 per cent increase in sales to 拢52.3 million in the 12 months to 31 August 2010.

The group says the latest agreement with the NWCH is testament to the strength of its 55-year history in the region and role as a major local employer and community supporter.

The NWCH is being managed by Manchester City Council and covers Cumbria, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. It is part of the Government's North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, aimed at helping councils save money through collaboration.

Paul Chrippes, director of frameworks at Forrest, said: 鈥淭he NWCH is a great example of best practice in collaborative frameworks, and our core skills in the social housing, education and public building sectors makes us ideally placed to help deliver its projects.

鈥淥ur own commitment to re-investing in the regional economy through training and by using locally based supply chains creates a great synergy with an initiative born out of a partnership between the North West鈥檚 local authorities.鈥
