Contract value is estimated at between 拢32m and 拢42m over the five year term, which starts on 30 April 2013.
The roads covered by the contract are: M1, M11, A1, A1(M), A5, A11, A414, A421 and A428 in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire,聽 Cambridgeshire and Milton Keynes.
The successful contractor will be required to provide integrated network management, maintenance, improvement activities, incident management, event management and contingency planning.
Nationally, the new style asset support contracts (聽ASCs) are replacing the existing managing agent contractor (MAC) contracts, and will form the basis of the delivery of maintenance and improvement services for most of England鈥檚 motorway and trunk road network. , covering the southwest, excluding Cornwall and parts of Devon.
