Kier鈥檚 拢135m contract is for the construction of two new facilities. One will house SPARK, the world鈥檚 first social science research park, and the Innovation Centre 鈥 office space for start-ups, spin-outs and partnership working.聽 The second will be home to the Institute for Compound Semiconductors and the Cardiff Catalysis Institute.
Work is set to start on site in early 2017 and is scheduled to complete in 2018. The scheme will also include a bridge linking Cardiff Business School with the campus.
Kier secured the contract under the SEWSCAP 2 framework and will be holding a meet the buyer event for local suppliers in early 2017.
