GHH was founded in the 1960s and is currently part of the German-owned Schmidt Kranz Group. It produces a range of loaders and articulated dump-trucks mainly for the underground mining and tunnelling industries.

Komatsu said it intends to continue with the products and services currently offered by Gelsenkirchen-based GHH and that the combined team will work to expand Komatsu鈥檚 range of underground mining equipment.

The official close of the acquisition is expected during the first half of 2023. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

鈥淕HH is excited to be able to start a new journey with a strong player in the mining world. This opens huge doors for our people and our products to develop further and grow beyond what we could have hoped for,鈥 said GHH Group CEO Jan Petzold. 鈥淭his is the next logical step in becoming a true global player and we look forward to becoming part of the Komatsu 蹿补尘颈濒测鈥.

GHH is a leading specialist in special vehicles for underground mining and civil engineering sectors. Its product range includes dump-trucks, multi-purpose vehicles, off-road vehicles, personnel transporters, cranes and scissor lifts with diesel and electric drives.
