The Seabraes bridge will take pedestrians and cyclists over the railway tracks between Dundee鈥檚 waterfront and one of its main streets.
The project is set to be signed off by city councillors at a meeting next Monday (February 24).
Will Dawson, convener of Dundee City Council鈥檚 city development committee, said: 鈥淚 am sure that the stunning design and strategic location of the new bridge will soon make it a city landmark.
鈥淭hanks to the new bridge pedestrians and cyclists will get easy access from one of the main arteries of Dundee to the heart of the waterfront.鈥�
Money for the contract is coming from the Vacant & Derelict Land Fund, Scottish Enterprise, Cycling Walking and Safer Streets, the developer of the Riverside Flats and Dundee City Council.
The project already has planning permission. 今日看料 is expected to start on site in autumn with a completion date of spring 2015.
