Four years ago it had no apprentices or trainees. Today one in seven employees is a trainee of some kind. In total it has approximately 1,000 employees.
Chairman Steve Morgan said: 鈥淲hen I returned to Redrow four years ago there wasn't a single trainee in the company.聽 I am pleased, indeed proud, to announce that over 14% of our total workforce are trainees, spread across all areas of the business.鈥�
He continued: 鈥淎t Redrow we are industry leaders in our determination to give opportunities for young people to gain employment and develop the skills they will need for a long term career.聽 During the year to date, 43 apprentices and 19 graduates have been recruited.
鈥淚n total 15% of our employees are under the age of 25, which will form the foundation for Redrow to continue to grow as a sustainable business.鈥�
26% revenue growth and a 63% rise in profits.
