The official description of is 鈥楾he UK鈥檚 Dedicated Working 今日看料 Exhibition鈥�. The key word here is 鈥榳orking鈥�, and the intention is to provide meaningful demonstrations of all the latest machines and attachments for visitors to the show.
The Dig Zone at Plantworx will provide plenty of opportunity for the newest earthmovers to be seen in action. Exhibitors with demonstration plots will stage displays to show how their products will make sites safer and more productive.
A particular focus will be on promoting the correct selection and use of attachments and instrumentation to carry out different tasks more much efficiently.
Demonstrations
Having visited construction equipment shows since 1963 as a student, plant advisor with a major UK contractor, and member of the construction press, Nick Johnson has established strong views on what constitutes a worthwhile exhibition demonstration.
He has agreed to help the Plantworx organisers work closely with those companies taking demonstration plots to ensure that the show is used to highlight the operational and economic benefits of new products.
Johnson says: 鈥淚t is very easy to attract attention by having well known machines 鈥榙ance鈥� or build 鈥榤ountains鈥�. But an exhibition presents an excellent opportunity to really help get new concepts noticed and established.
鈥淭he trick is show off new products operating continuously in a realistic setting so that, when visitors stop and watch, their full practical advantages can be immediately grasped.鈥�
Early interest
There has been high demand for the Dig Zone at Plantworx, with 79% of the demonstration plots already snapped up. Companies which have booked include: Ammann, Avant Tecno, Auger Torque, Case, Cautrac, CETA, Hill Engineering, Hyundai, JCB, NC Engineering, New Holland, Scanlaser, Takeuchi, Terex, U-Mole, Volvo and Wacker Neuson.
With Plantworx following shortly after Bauma 2013 in Germany, there will numerous new earthmoving products which get their UK exhibition debut at Stoneleigh Park.
