The three-storey centre will be built on Anglia Ruskin鈥檚 Chelmsford campus in partnership between the university, Essex County Council and Chelmsford City Council.
The centre is due to open in spring 2014 and will support the development of start-up and micro businesses in the medical technology, advanced manufacturing, technology and engineering sectors.
The new building will provide 1,345 sq m of laboratory and office space.

Morgan Sindall is also currently on site building the principal commercial research and development building on the Norwich Research Park, the 拢11.5m Centrum building. It is also constructing a 拢26m centre of excellence for neuroscience research at King鈥檚 College London, and has recently completed a 拢12.6m development at the University of Leicester鈥檚 new Cardiovascular Research Centre at Leicester鈥檚 Glenfield Hospital.
