The project, which is for client Locum, involves rebuilding of existing hospital buildings and adding two new buildings.
As well as increasing the capacity, the hospital will also accommodate a new maternity department and scope for expanding its scope of treatment in areas including neurology, pulmonary medicine and urology as well as breast cancer care.
The intention is that the rebuilt and newly constructed buildings will be certified according to the Milj枚byggnad standard, which focuses on energy, indoor environment and materials. The Milj枚byggnad environmental classification system is administered by the Swedish Green Building Council.
Work is scheduled to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2020.
