Skanska shuffles senior management

14 Feb 14 Skanska has restructured its senior UK management to prepare for a planned expansion of the business.

Mike Putnam remains president and CEO but Deirdre Murphy, who has managed Skanska鈥檚 infrastructure services operation since 2008, takes on a new strategic role, leading the development of Skanska UK鈥檚 2020 business plan. 聽She recently led the successful acquisition of Atkins鈥 highways services business, adding 拢180m annual revenue and 1,200 people to Skanska.

The managing director of Skanska UK鈥檚 civil engineering arm, Greg Craig, takes over running the infrastructure services business, with an ambition to grow Skanska鈥檚 share of the market. He has experience of such highways projects as the M25 widening where he has developed strong ties with the Highways Agency.

Thomas Faulkner replaces Greg Craig in charge of the civil engineering business. He joined the company 18 years ago as a graduate engineer and has gained broad experience across the infrastructure sector, building roads, bridges, tunnels and water treatment works.
