Overall value of this stage of the programme is approximately 拢150m, with 30 new primary schools tobe built over a four-year period.
The work is part of the council鈥檚 wider 拢850m primary schools鈥 modernisation programme which involves all 124 of the area鈥檚 primary schools being rebuilt by 2016.
Kier Scotland managing director Derek Fothergill described the council as 鈥渁n enlightened client, who appreciate good quality design and construction, and welcome innovation鈥.
Kier鈥檚 team, which includes RMJM Architects, has already successfully delivered nine new schools and is currently completing three, as part of the first tranche of the programme.
