Whilst working in the Hyttkyarn area in Darlana, Sweden, the team of groundworkers who were working for Erikssons Bygg & Entrepenad, had to move all their equipment a couple of kilometres up the road to another job that they were due to start. Now, as we have recently discovered first hand, our Scandinavian friends are very innovative in their approach to machinery and transport work, so rather than bring in a truck to shift the 1.790 kg Caterpillar 301.8C mini excavator, the team decided to load the machine straight into the front bucket of the company’s Huddig 1260B backhoe loader and “road” both machines in one package.
For the mighty Huddig 1260B, often described as the Rolls-Royce of backhoe loaders, this was no problem at all, and as Mattias said “It proved to be a really quick and effective solution!”
